Usually, the 20 Miss Israel contestants would be enjoying the sun in the Middle East at this time of the year, but the organizers of the beauty event, inspired by the success of South Africa in hosting the 2010 FIFA World Cup, decided to bring them to Cape Town for a winter break instead.
And that’s why the 20 young women were on the summit of Table Mountain on Tuesday, January 26. Coincidentally, South Africa’s Table Mountain, just like the Dead Sea, is in the running to become one of the New7Wonders of Nature. While they were on the summit, the 20 young women took the time to vote for both the Dead Sea and Table Mountain.
Their trip to South Africa is being covered by the popular Israeli magazine Lalsha, which is the sponsor of the Miss Israel beauty pageant.
