First TV images of sensational Sirenia fossil find in the Philippines shown on CCTV

China Central Television (CCTV), the national TV station of the People’s Republic of China, has presented exclusive images of the fossil remains of a sea cow species that lived 20 million years ago in the Philippines. The discovery of the Sirenia fossils in limestone rock above the waters of the Puerto Princesa Underground River (PPUR) is of major scientific significance and raises the international profile of the river, which is a Finalist in the New7Wonders of Nature.
