“The mountain belongs to everyone,” said Fiona Furey, Campaign Manager with the South African New7Wonders of Nature Finalist, Table Mountain. “Everyone should have the opportunity to vote for it.” She was speaking in Cape Town’s Khayelitsha township at the launch of a computer literacy initiative organized in partnership with Silulo Ulutho Technologies. The immediate goal was to show teenagers how to use the internet to cast their votes for Table Mountain. The long-term aim is to equip them with the digital skills that will help them make a better life in South Africa.

With their uplifting message of hope, computer literacy and democracy, the Vote for Table Mountain team will visit township schools every Saturday during the remainder of the New7Wonders of Nature campaign.
