At an event in at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw on 4 April, 2011, the President of Poland announced his official support for the campaign to vote for the Masurian Lake District to become one of the New7Wonders of Nature. The announcement was welcomed by the delegation from Masuria, lead by the campaign ambassador Mr. Jack Pałkiewiczem accompanied by 7 young representative from the region. The event was also announced on the official Presidential website.
