Senator David Norris is a friend of nature

Ireland will elect a new president in October and Senator David Norris from Dublin is expected to be one of the candidates. Like all media-savvy politicians, Norris knows the value of a good photo opportunity and that’s why he’s just voted for the Cliffs of Moher, one of the five European New7Wonders of Nature finalists.

“I voted for the Cliffs of Moher in the previous round of the campaign and I’m delighted to see them in the final 28 in the world,” Norris told the Irish World. “I urge everyone to get out and vote again in the current and final round of voting to see this marvellous natural wonder elected one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.”

“Overseas friends of mine visited the west of Ireland during the last summer and were wildly enthusiastic about the Cliffs of Moher when they returned to stay with me,” he added. “They are one of the jewels in the crown of Irish tourism and they richly deserve to be recognised as a global natural wonder.”
