The official unveiling of the New7Wonders Wonder Marker on 7 Wonders Day 2023 at the Great Wall has been widely reported across mainstream and social mobile media throughout China, recognising and celebrating the importance of this historic moment.
Video news reports, distributed through the main mobile news portals that are now the most important source of news and information for China’s 1.4 billion population, show the moment of the unveiling and the spectacular events at Huangyaguan Great Wall, Tianjin Province. These have been seen across the Baidu, Toutiao/Tiktok, Weixin/WeChat and Sina networks that reach hundreds of millions of users daily, amongst others.
In addition, the main official national news agency, China.com, has also featured the event here: http://photo.china.com.cn/2023-07/08/content_91697146.shtml.
As a result, all other print and news content platforms have shared it across their own networks.
The New7Wonders Wonder Marker is the unique giant signpost that celebrates the China Great Wall as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World and symbolically links it to its sister Wonders across the world: Chichen Itza in Mexico, the Colosseum in Italy, Cristo Redentor in Brazil, Machu Picchu in Peru, Petra in Jordan, and the Taj Mahal in India.
