The Espace Léopold in Brussels, home of the European Parliament, played host last night to Matthew Obarek’s “It’s Masuria not …” exhibition that promotes the candidacy of the Masurian Lake District in the New7Wonders of Nature.
Along with works by leading Polish photographers Richard Czerwinski, Mieczyslaw Wieliczka, Andrzej Stachurski and Wojciech Wojcik, the exhibition included 11 3D images of Masuria. The event organizers ensured that along with 3D glasses, voting terminals were in place so that the many parliamentarians and dignitaries present were able to support their favourite finalists. Those attending were also treated to a range of regional delicacies.
The project was supported by the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
