When BBC reporter Amandeep Bhangu went on a trip to New7Wonders of Nature Finalist Iguazu Falls on the border between Brazil and Argentina, she got some very personal perspectives on the roaring water.
“I can’t believe I’m literally standing on the tip of a waterfall and the sound is deafening,” she said when “Feeling the force of Iguazu Falls“.
So what are the chances of being selected as one of the New7Wonders of Nature, she asked Sergio Dobrusin of Tourism & Development, Misiones, Argentina. “We’re convinced that we have a wonder of the world. We want to show it to the world,” he said.
Being selected as one of the New7Wonders of Nature would generate vital revenues for this South American border region. “It would produce a lot of new jobs for our country, and those jobs come from showing what we have,” said Sergio Dobrusin. “This is our factory. We don’t need to build nothing. That’s nature. We want to show it to the world.”
