Today in the provincial capital of Halifax, the Nova Scotia Minister of Tourism, Percy Paris, and the Founder and President of New7Wonders Foundation, Bernard Weber, announced a series of initiatives for Canada Day centered on the Bay of Fundy, one of the 28 Finalists in the New7Wonders of Nature.

Celebrated this year on Friday, 1 July, Canada Day marks the anniversary of the formation of the union of the British North America provinces in a federation under the name of Canada. For most Canadians, from Newfoundland to Vancouver, Canada Day is the year’s biggest national party. Canadians are proud of the nation they have built together over the last 144 years. Since the earliest days of its history, the country has been a land of promise.
