Passionate diver and environmentalist Andy Ridley, Executive Director of the global climate change campaign Earth Hour, has been designated as Australia`s ambassador for the Great Barrier Reef, one of the 28 Official Finalists in the New7Wonders of Nature campaign. The Great Barrier Reef is one of 6 multi-country Finalists in the campaign, as it is shared between Australia and Papua New Guinea. Australia also has its own fully national Finalist, Uluru.
“I am very proud to be associated with such a commendable cause and look forward to helping raise the awareness of one of the world`s greatest natural treasures”, says Andy Ridley. From now on he will represent Australia throughout the course of the campaign, supporting Tourism Australia by motivating fans all over the world to give their vote to Uluru and the Great Barrier Reef.
